The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation KBC which is a government-owned broadcaster is set to rebrand. One of the strategies they have used is to resuscitate the old programs and like "Vioja Mahakamani" with the old cast and getting the veteran news anchors like Catherine Kasavuli and Badi Muhsin on English and Swahili news respectively.

Many people grew up watching KBC especially people from outside Nairobi before KTN was opened in the 90s. It was the only channel that was available countrywide until the year 2000.
