MILLENNIALS (GENERATION Y) AND CENTENNIALS (GENERATION Z) DIFFERENCES IN KENYA

Millennials age group are born in 1980-1995, Centennials are from 1996 - 2016. there are a lot of differences especially here in Kenya. 

Millennials were born and raised during President Moi's era and they went through a lot of hardship because the economy back then was struggling. Another thing worth noting is that there was no technological advancement no smartphones and mobile phones it was landline phones, only a few could afford mobile phones and they costed a fortune. 

Millennial's parents were brought up during Kenyatta's era and the Kenyan economy was ok back then. Coffee, Tea, and other agricultural sector had money so the economy was doing fine. Things were not as bad. However, due to westernization millennials parents only wanted their children to get white-collar jobs so they pushed the millennials to read books and do Engineering, Doctor, Law, etc

Centennials or generation Z are the new kids on the block they are born by Millenials since they are the "spoilt brats". These are kids born in 1996- 2015 Kids who were born in the digital era. Born when I Phones and other Smartphones were launched. they were born when technology is quite affordable from smart tv, pads, tablets internet social media, etc

Here are the diferences betwen the 2 generations

Generation group Y interacting  On Social media they are mainly on Facebook, Twitter Instagram and W hatsApp	Gen Z group interacting On social media they are mainly on Tik Tok and Instagram & WhatsApp (THEY USE MOD APPS FOR GB WHATSAPP YO WHATAPP, AND OTHER MODS) according to them Facebook & Twitter is for the old people and in this case their millennial parents
They usually have one Email address for everything work social media etc.	These kids have emails for social media, work and school etc.
They had a rough childhood because during their upbringing their parents insisted on books and not talents.	These are spoilt kids who are brought up by parents who have diverse opinion on matters education. They believe anyone can make it without going to college as long as you are talented.
They prefer phone call over texting, if they text it is too formal and gramatically correct.	They prefer short text mesages over phone call and they use informal language and they realy dont care

Meru county governor Hon. Kiraitu Murungi who has recovered fully from novel coronavirus COVID-19 was reflecting on his journey with the disease. He said that he almost lost his life and without following his heart desires fully. Governor Murungi reiterated that he will go slow on matters politics and he will do as he pleases, and his voice and opinion will be heard when needed. 

THE RISE AND FALL OF EUROPEAN SUPER LEAGUE #ESLOut

Most clubs that had agreed to join European Super League they have pulled due to one reason or another. Initially there were talks to leave UEFA Champions League to 6th team in English Premier League and Europa League to 10th team in the Epl Competition. 

UEFA in a move to retaliate they said that any club that will join the ESL risks participation of UEFA Champs League. Many clubs have opted out of the competition because of sanctions by FIFA and the governing bodies of the different countries in Europe 

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez who was the engineer behind the ESL said that the competition is not dead yet regardless of  many teams withdrawing from the competition

RAILA & RUTO COALITION HERE ARE FINER DETAILS

As the world is mourning queen Elizabeth’s husband Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh and US rapper and movie actor Earl Simmons DMX. There is coalition in the offing here in Kenya a coalition between Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto. ODM deputy party leader and Kakamega governor Wycliff Oparanya had nine hours meeting with the deputy president to discuss a possible coalition and what Raila is offering Deputy President if they were to unite. The meeting was held in Williams Ruto home in Narok.

After the meeting the Kakamega governor said that his party leader Raila Odinga was aware of the meeting, but he did not disclose the agenda of the meeting. He was addressing the press after the meeting.

Android or iOS Phones which is better? Here is the answer.

 

There is always a big debate about Android and iOS on which is better than the other. 

There is a new kid on the block developed by a chinese tech giant Huawei called Honmeng OS. This is after the fallout with Android back in 2018 they have a new OS and they are the first company in the world to introduce 5G network.

Who started #stoploaningkenya? Why is it trending? (1 minute read)

 

Kenyans on Twitter #KOT are a hungry lot this is because of continued borrowing spree by Kenyan Government. On twitter using the hashtag Stop Loaning Kenya (#stoploaningkenya), they are petitioning the IMF (International Monetary Fund) to stop processing the loan amounting to KSh 225 Billion. It seems #KOT (Kenyans on twitter) are winning the battle against the Kenyan Government because IMF is considering whether to approve the loan or not.

The first tweet with the #stoploaningkenya to go online was posted by a twitter account for @johnnjenga now it has been trending the whole day

RAILA PRESENTS HIS NOMINATION PAPERS TO HIS PARTY ELECTIONS BOARD.

Orange Democratic Movement elections board has received nominations papers for former premier Rt Hon. Raila Odinga. So its official that its a 3 horse race in ODM presidential primaries.

He presented is papers the board during the last day of the exercise at ‘Chungwa House’.

Each Interested candidate who wished to become ODM flag bearer had to present papers and pay for KSh one million 1,000,000 to book for a nomination slot.

Raila will battle it out with Mombasa County governor Hon. Ali Hassan Joho and His Kakamega county counterpart Hon. Wycliff Oparanya. Both governors are deputy party leaders of the Orange party, whereas Raila Odinga is the party leader.

The ODM elections board will come up with a manner in which they will pick their flag bearer ahead of 2022 general elections. They may opt for National Delegates conference or Select according to merits any manner the election board dims fit according to party constitution.    

This comes amidst the call from a faction of coast region leaders led by Kilifi governor Kingi & Joho and others, to form their regional political party bearing in mind that coastal region of Kenya is an ODM party stronghold.

Will the party be able to hold free and fair nominations? Only time will tell.
